Release notes

New capabilities and improvements that help turn research data into clear, publication-ready figures.

Version 1.1

Finer control for publication-ready figures

PivoGraph 1.1 expands control over axes, bar spacing, legends, and text annotations while keeping canvas editing and exported output consistent.

New features

More complete axis controls

Continuous X and Y axes now support linear, Log 10, Log 2, and Ln scales, plus additional ticks, custom labels, and reference lines. Offset axes can use separate X-axis and Y-axis gaps and can optionally extend to connect.

Bar layout and baselines

Adjust bar width, column spacing, within-group and between-group spacing, and leading or trailing space where applicable. Bar-based graphs support automatic, specified-value, and hidden baselines; Grouped and Nested graphs can draw the categorical axis only beneath category clusters.

More flexible legend layout

Adjust key-to-text and entry spacing, and switch between vertical and horizontal flow. After ungrouping, each key-and-label entry can be moved independently and regrouped with one action.

Multiline and rich text

Titles, free text, line-annotation labels, and legend labels support multiline editing, bold, italic, superscript, and subscript. Applicable objects can also rotate 90° left or right. Selecting text directly on the canvas now works with the panel’s superscript and subscript controls.

More box-plot and summary details

Column summary plots can show vertical error bars. Box plots can display a mean symbol and use wide-T, narrow-T, or capless whiskers. Continuous-axis labels also gain an optional thousands separator.

Improvements

Clearer settings organization

Legend settings are grouped into Text, Keys, and Position sections, while bar width and spacing controls are consolidated under X-axis settings.

Layout and text-editing improvements

Repeated-measures line graphs can use aligned or staggered series layouts. Superscript and subscript actions recognize existing markup, allowing it to be removed or converted without repeated nesting.

Fixes

Angled labels stay below the axis

Fixed angled categorical X-axis labels crossing the axis line.

The data view stays in place while renaming

Fixed the data view repeatedly jumping to the far right while editing a column name.

Canvas text editing no longer closes the panel

Fixed clicks in blank areas of the canvas text editor unexpectedly closing the object panel or preventing the caret from being placed correctly.

Version 1.0

A scientific graphing workspace in the browser

PivoGraph 1.0 brings scientific graphing and data analysis into a focused browser workspace, with research data processed locally on your device.

First release

From tables to editable figures

Enter or paste data, create common scientific graph families, and refine axes, series, annotations, and layout interactively.

Analysis in the same workspace

Run supported descriptive statistics and comparisons without moving research data to another service.

Publication-ready export

Export high-resolution bitmap and vector files for papers, posters, presentations, and further production work.

Local-first by design

Tables, graph settings, analyses, and exports stay in the browser rather than being uploaded to a PivoGraph application server.
